Recruitment Update
In order that our community at Watling can function and flourish we have robust plans in place to recruit the best teachers, who will share our ethos and values, bringing learning alive in the classroom.
We are fortunate to have direct access to the Tommy Flowers SCITT (school centred initial teacher training) as a source of the best home-grown newly qualified teachers but at the same time the Maths Hub, Computing Hub, Science Learning Partnership and Teaching School help us attract high quality experienced teachers who have cutting edge expertise in their subject specialisms.
Alongside the appointment of Mr Ian Bacon as Head of School and Mrs Joanne Barford as Deputy Headteacher we have now successfully recruited excellent subject specialists in Mathematics, English, Science, Computing, Humanities, Spanish, PE, Art, Drama, Design Technology and PSHE. We also welcome to our team a dedicated SENDCO and Head of Year 7. Every one of our team has been attracted by the opportunity to develop a vibrant new community and help create a culture of success for your children.
