St Paul’s Cathedral Trip
Our Year 11 GCSE Religious Studies students recently had an enriching and successful educational trip to St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, where they had the opportunity to explore one of the most iconic landmarks in the country. The students were truly captivated by the cathedral’s awe-inspiring architecture, intricate details, and peaceful atmosphere, which offered a perfect setting for reflection and learning.
During the visit, the students took part in an engaging GCSE exam workshop, where they gained invaluable insights into how the subject is examined. They were particularly active during the Q&A session with the cathedral’s priest, impressing the educational staff with their thoughtful and probing questions that demonstrated their deep curiosity and understanding of the subject matter.
The trip provided not only an enriching academic experience but also a memorable and enjoyable day out for the students. It gave them the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of religious practices and history in a real-world context, bridging the gap between theory and practice. The feedback from both staff and students was overwhelmingly positive, with particular praise for the students’ engagement, enthusiasm, and respectful demeanour throughout the entire visit. Their inquisitiveness and focus made the trip not only educational but also a meaningful and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
