Watling Academy are working with Stir Food Limited, to develop a food service that offers a range of options that are both healthy and appealing to students, and great value for parents and carers. Student Councillors regularly meet with the Stir team, to feed back on the service provided and suggest improvements. Our vision is to continue to create a food service that fully reflects the Watling ethos, by incorporating local produce, focusing on sustainability, and catering for the diverse dietary and cultural needs of our growing school community.
Breakfast service commences at 8am, with hot and cold food available.
At break and lunchtime, a range of “grab and go” options are available.
The lunch menu is regularly updated, to include seasonal produce, and reflect curriculum and cultural events. A sample menu can be downloaded below:
Cashless Catering
Watling Academy operates a cashless catering system. Parents and carers can top up their child(ren)’s account at any time, via IRIS Parentmail. This system is also used for all school communications, and we recommend that all parents and carers activate their accounts, to ensure that they are kept fully informed of everything that is going on!
