Governors

The Watling Local School Board (LSB) comprises dedicated volunteers who collaborate closely with the school’s Senior Leadership Team in monthly meetings.  Their mission is strategic, focusing on guiding the school’s future direction by supporting, coaching and challenging the leadership of Watling Academy to provide the highest quality of education, care and opportunity for its students.  They play a critical role in shaping and overseeing the school’s policies and report their findings to the Denbigh Multi Academy Trust.

The Local School Board also acts as a champion for the values of Watling Academy and all Governors sign up to uphold the Nolan Principles of Selflessness, Integrity, Objectivity, Accountability, Openness, Honesty and Leadership through role modelling those Watling values of Respect, Responsibility and Kindness.

If anyone is interested in becoming a Watling Governor they should reach out to Watling’s Governance professional, Mrs Katie Brennen (brennenk@watling.academy).
