Harry Potter Evening
On Thursday, October 17th, Bloomsbury Publishers hosted their annual Harry Potter Book Night, a special event bringing fans of the beloved series together. Watling Academy was thrilled to join in the celebration, with Year 7 students invited to an after-school event in the library. Stepping into a magical world of puzzles, spells, art, and props, students were encouraged to dress for the occasion. The library was filled with a delightful mix of Hogwarts robes, witch outfits, and even a Dementor!
After enjoying various activities, students formed teams and faced off in a quiz that tested their knowledge of magical creatures, spells, spooky settings, and beloved characters. The winning team received gift bags filled with notebooks, stickers, chocolate frogs, and other treats. It was a fantastic evening for all, and we’re already looking forward to our next journey to Hogwarts!
