Sports Roundup
In our competitive sports fixtures this week our Year 7, 8 & 9 boys Football teams faced MK Academy.
The Year 7s continued their winning streak with an incredible 10-0 win against MK Academy. They were 4-0 up at half time including a beautiful back heel goal from Asher, and didn’t ease the pressure, working hard in the rain to finish with 10-0 in what was a very well-deserved result. Player of the match went to Aubrey for a superb double hattrick!
The Year 8s continued to build as a team and were victorious with a 9-0 win, with an incredible 4 goals scored by Owen.
Year 9 were short of players this week due to injuries and illnesses but it didn’t stop the 9 remaining players from going ahead with the fixture. Their resilience shone through, as despite being exhausted in the second half, the boys managed to hold on to a clean sheet and brought the team home with a 6-0 win with the goals coming from Alex and Charlie. This is incredible, well done!
Year 11 boys Football team faced Radcliffe this week. They their fixture campaign being unfortunate to come away with a loss. It is great to see our Year 11s playing and enjoying their football after a hard 2 weeks of mock exams. We’re looking forward to seeing them bounce back.
On Wednesday our Year 8 and 9 girls Cross Country team travelled to Oakgrove in the pouring rain to start off their season. The girls had to run 2k and all did an amazing job. We can’t wait to see their results.
