Year 8 Whipsnade Zoo Trip – 11th & 12 October 2024
Last week, Year 8 students embarked on an exciting educational trip to Whipsnade Zoo. On Monday, 11th November, 8K had their turn to explore, followed by 8M on Tuesday, 12th November. The behaviour of all students was exemplary, showcasing their enthusiasm and respect throughout the visit. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying themselves while engaging with the learning opportunities provided by the trip.
At Whipsnade Zoo, students had the opportunity to observe some incredible animals up close, witness conservation efforts in action, and gain a deeper understanding of the world’s diverse wildlife. The visit perfectly reflected Watling Academy’s dedication to raising awareness of environmental challenges, inspiring students to think critically about their role in protecting the planet. It was also heartening to see students bonding in a new environment, building stronger connections with their peers and staff.
