At Watling Academy, we use ClassCharts to set homework tasks and all students and parents/carers have log in details to access this system. In the event of a full or partial school closure, students will access remote learning resources via ClassCharts. This will be in the form of blended learning tasks. Please refer to the ‘How to access remote learning on ClassCharts’ guide for support.
Where students are required to access learning from home for longer period of time, we provide them with the ability to access learning remotely using Microsoft Teams. This package of support is arranged in agreement with pastoral staff and is reviewed regularly. This will support continued learning and will ensure that students do not fall behind in their individual subjects. Subject tasks have been developed to ensure that students working remotely obtain the same learning outcomes as those working in school.
If longer term whole school remote learning is required, provision will use the systems outlined above. More information would be provided to students and parents/carers.
